PRODUCT

The product presented here is a water filtration system produced by Envirogard Products Limited to address drinking water needs in nations effected by natural disaster.

I proposed its suitability for Nepal, independent of past or potential natural disasters, because operation of this system is not dependent on electricity.

INNOVATIVE IDEAS

IMPROVING LIFE

At the University of Guelph, first year Bachelor of Science in Agriculture students in the Introduction to Agri-Food Systems course are challenged to identify a Canadian product for bilateral trade with Nepal, and then evaluate the feasibility of the idea.

Each product has its own website to promote the idea, however an compiled list can also be found on the SAK Nepal website, which is maintained through the University of Guelph's partnership with Global Affairs Canada (DFAIT) and the International Development Research Centre's (IRDC) Canadian International Food Security Research Fund (CIFSRF).

On this site you will find a summary of my research surrounding Envirogard Product Limited's Rainfresh® Bucket Gravity Filter system, Model MP4U. It's water treatment applications, benefits to each country, and feasibility as an export item.
